The biggest challenge any teacher faces is capturing the students’ attention, and putting across ideas in such a way that it stays with them long after they have left the classroom. For this to happen, classroom experience should be redefined and innovative ideas that make teaching methods more effective should be implemented. Our school focuses on the holistic development of the students. The concept of teaching methods includes pedagogy and strategies used in the classroom for teaching.

Our school focuses on Student-Centered Approach rather than Teacher-Centered Approach. We incorporate audio-visual materials in our sessions. Textbooks are supplemented with models, movies and pictorial material. Tools that will help their imagination thrive and grow are used. These methods not only develop their ability to listen, but also help them understand the concepts better.

At bmhss school, brainstorming sessions are a norm. These sessions are a great way to get the creative juices flowing. Having multiple brains focusing on one single idea, we are sure to get numerous ideas and involve everyone into the discussion.

Here, we prefer there should be equal interaction between a teacher and student. We believe in experiential learning, where in students experience, communicate, reason and learn about the concepts. The method used to teach concepts to the primary students is a Play-Way method, wherein there is no burden of studies and no rote learning. Students play and they learn willingly and happily. For seniors the learning is not only done in the classrooms and laboratories but children are out in the fields to touch, understand and see it practically. The knowledge and understanding of the students are measured with the formal and informal assessments including group and individual projects, class discussions, debates, recitations
